Born in Philadelphia, raised in Vancouver, Canada, emerged the talented and dynamic artist known as AHSIA. With a passion for music that began at the age of eight, AHSIA has since taken to stages across Canada and the U.S, showcasing her versatile blend of R&B, Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop. When not gracing audiences with her performances, she dedicates her time as an educator at an after-school music program, imparting her knowledge of songwriting, producing, and artist development to the younger generation. AHSIA is driven by a deep passion for empowering young people to realize their dreams, and uses her platform to champion the voices of marginalized communities, including those in the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, and to advocate for anti-oppression and black empowerment movements. She has also been an active participant in protests throughout the lower mainland, using her voice to further amplify the voices of the marginalized. AHSIA bravely shares her own struggles with mental health and identity as a queer woman of colour, highlighting the importance of self-love and acceptance, and confronting societal prejudices.
